Ravens' 7-on-7 High School Football Tourney Reaches Finale

Eight Maryland high school football teams will spend the day in M&T Bank Stadium today battling for the right to call themselves champions of the Baltimore Ravens 7-on-7 Football Tournament sponsored by Under Armour.

The eight teams qualified for the championship round by advancing through regional tournaments over two weekends.  The tourney began with 64 teams and over 1,200 student-athletes.

Advancing out of the June 4th regional at St. Paul's School were Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, McDonough School, Our Lady of Good Counsel and River Hill.  The four finalist from the June 11th tournament at Frederick High School are: Briar Woods, DeMatha, Frederick and North Hagerstown.

The teams will be split into two pools of four teams with each team guaranteed to play three, 40-minute games.  The championship game in the single-elimination tourney will be played a 3 P.M.
