Urbana "D" Leads Hawks to Maryland 4A Football Championship

For the 9th time in 13 games, Urbana's defense pitched a shutout.

Friday night, the stingy Hawk defense shutout Wise 6-0 to win Maryland's Class 4A state crown.  The Baltimore Sun reports that all the defense needed was an opening drive touchdown that led to the school's fourth state title.

#8 Seeded Wilde Lake Wins Maryland's 3A High School Football Title

Wilde Lake's incredible post-season run ended with a Maryland 3A high school football championship.

The Wildcats, who entered the playoffs as a #8 seed, beat Franklin Thursday night 21-14 to win the school's first state title since 1987.

The Baltimore Sun reports that Wilde Lake used a strong running game to capture its sixth overall state crown.
